As Northwest Indiana’s poverty-fighting experts, CoAction knows that both the material and social aspects must be addressed if we want to eradicate poverty. That’s why we offer opportunities, resources, and respect to people experiencing financial hardship.
At CoAction, our mission is to strengthen communities by helping people move from crisis to stability and toward self-sufficiency. Guided by our vision of a Northwest Indiana where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, we work alongside individuals and families to remove barriers, build resilience, and create lasting pathways forward.
Through housing stability services, homelessness street outreach, utility and benefits navigation, aging and disability assistance, and nutrition programs, we help individuals and families stabilize during times of hardship. Through affordable rental housing and matched savings programs, we create opportunities for people to build financial security and work toward long-term independence.
